Update: 7th December 17:00 GMT / 8th December 01:00 in CHN and MYT time zones
The major incident team have been working throughout Friday night and all of today on the services that remain unavailable ( Moodle, Imagebank, Scripware, Xerte Toolkit and some Unix-hosted services and website).

At this time we're still unable to confirm when we expect those services to be restored. Efforts will continue throughout the night tonight and on a 24/7 basis until restoration is achieved.

For anyone that is concerned about pending or lapsed coursework submission deadlines, please be reassured that students will not be penalised for late submissions. Where Schools have issued specific guidance to their students please follow this. Otherwise students will have until 3pm on the next working day after restoration of Moodle to submit any work for which the deadline has already passed.

We fully appreciate the significant disruption that this issue is causing to our staff and student community and apologise sincerely and unreservedly for the impact this has had.

Information for Staff
The temporary read-only version of Moodle will allow you and your students to look at documents and resources. However, students will not be able to submit assignments or post to discussions, and some links and activities will not be available.

Anything you or your students submit or change will not be saved in this read-only version, and will be unavailable when the full live version is restored. This includes quizzes, which can be completed for revision purposes. However, answers will not be saved. Talis reading lists are still available via Moodle.

The major incident team have been working throughout Friday night and all of today on the services that remain unavailable ( Moodle, Imagebank, Scripware, Xerte Toolkit and some Unix-hosted services and website).

At this time we're still unable to confirm when we expect those services to be restored. Efforts will continue throughout the night tonight and on a 24/7 basis until restoration is achieved.

For anyone that is concerned about pending or lapsed coursework submission deadlines, please be reassured that students will not be penalised for late submissions. Where Schools have issued specific guidance to their students please follow this. Otherwise students will have until 3pm on the next working day after restoration of Moodle to submit any work for which the deadline has already passed.

We fully appreciate the significant disruption that this issue is causing to our staff and student community and apologise sincerely and unreservedly for the impact this has had.

Some users of the Campus Solutions/MyNottingham service have reported that their navigation bar (contains the 'Favourites' and 'Main menu' options) is missing.

This can be resolved by deleting the browser cache/temporary internet files - please see https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/it-services/connect/systems/campus-solutions-issues-and-fixes.aspx under the question on 'Screen size is very small or disproportionate or navigation menu is missing' for further details.
